Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
we have created unattended Vista x86 and x64 installation images and are distributing them internally and for our clients through various ways (WDS or dvd images). We have everything working except for enabling Microsoft Update instead of the default Windows Update. Currently our administrators have to manually enable this by changing the relevant setting in the control panel -> Windows Update.
We are not using WSUS currently and we don´t want to use group policies because it should be working for all our customers so basically we need the solution to be some sort of registry hack, inf file etc. that we can deploy during or after the automated Vista installation.
Can you please help me with this ? We did not find any information in the registry that could be modified nor does it seem to work using muweb.cab (which worked in Windows XP) because after enabling MS Update we could not find any muweb file on the system.
Thanks a lot for your help ! Alex
