How do I move an entire folder from Outlook to my hard drive?

Neither Outlook nor Outlook Express are on topic for this newsgroup which is
dedicated to the Windows Live Mail program.

You don't really, if you wish to see the messages..
Outlook stores all folders and messages in a single pst file(accessible by Outlook) for each profile. Additional pst files are
also present if Archiving is enabled.

Outlook Express stores all folders as separate dbx files(e.g. Inbox.dbx, etc)

If you wish to copy messages and retain the email clients ability to open, drag and drop(from the email client's folders to a
Windows Explorer folder)

Outlook 2007 has File, New, Outlook Data File. I assume older versions have
this also. This command creates a new .pst file. It "provides storage for
items and folders". To access the contents, File, Open, Outlook Data File.
One can do manual archiving and backup by this method, copying or moving
between open .pst files.

Yes, but I'm not sure, unless we hear otherwise, that was the intent of 'how do I move an entire folder form Outlook to my hard
drive'

No way to tell with the combination of the subject line and the question in
the body of the message. I figured I would answer the question as stated,
and it might help somebody.

You appear to have addressed the question implied in the subject line. The
short answer is to move the .dbx file, but then you won't be able to read
the messages. ;^)

Kind of ..:)
I addressed it as a wish to 'copy' not move...the latter could become problematic.
