Upgrade domain to 2003 when server 2000 has exchange installed on chad 12/3/2008 5:26:02 PM I have exchange installed on my domain controller(inherited the setup), how can I upgrade to server 2003 without breaking exchange in the process? I tested this in the lab and when I demoted the old server to member server exchange died completely. What's the best way to get to server 03 without killing my company's exchange databases?

Then you can not do an inplace upgrade, Exchange 2000 on server 2003 is not supported. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321648 You have move either exchange to another server or upgrade exchange to 2003 before. I just want to move the exchange installation somewhere else for now. Did I mention this is in a cluster also? What would i need to do order to move all this.
