Hi ,
We have the below error in our newly setup 2003 Domain Controller, it generates whenever DNS service is restarted. The errors only shown on 1 DC, the other DC do not have the errors. Actually, the DC firstly was setup using this Domain DNS name called ‘ADC.sg’. Due to some reason, we demote it and re-promote and rename the Domain DNS name as ‘WindowsADC.sg’. So right now the DNS event log keep showing this error..
The DNS server was unable to open zone _msdcs.CPTC.SG in the Active Directory from the application directory partition ForestDnsZones.CPTC.SG. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload the zone. The event data is the error code. Event id 4007
