LaH00ser 10/28/2008 8:20:07 PM
hello
Is there a way to setup dns printing instead of using pure ip printing? What
are the pros and cons for this type of setup. One of the requirements are
dhcp cannot be used. thanks in advance

Hello LaH00ser,
I am totally confused? What is dns printing and what does printing have
to do with dhcp?

I think it be best if you reposted and explained exactly what you are trying
to do.

Sorry about that. hope this clears it up. We are trying to move away from ip
based printing that is currently being used by many markets to a dns based
printing solution. How can we give limited control to local techsresponsible
for their own ou and not let them modify other printers in the organization.
In a nutshell we need a new printing solution based on windows dns. thanks
