Hi all,
i have two win 2003 sever with DNS service installed on and about 300
zone with public domains. One server has primary zones and one server
has secondary zones.
My question is, if the primary DNS server fail, can the secondary server
answer to a query about local zones ?
I have tried to simulate the fail and i have changed the ip address on
the secondary server for the replication of a test zone but a message on
the event view said the the zone is closed (event id 6527) and with
nslookup i get "Query refused" about the test zone.
Any idea ?
