I'm try to add a second AD server (AD2) to my current enviroment (adding 2k3
to 2k).
I have performed the following
I. Prepare the Second Domain Controller
II. Join the SOI.IRS Domain
III. Install the DNS Service on the Second Domain Controller
The problem areices when I attempt to Promote the secon Domanin Controller
Ok - To start the Active Directory Installation Wizard, click Start, click
Run, type DCPROMO, and then click OK.
OK - On the Welcome page, click Next.
OK - On the Operating System Compatibility page, click Next.
OK - On the Domain Controller Type page, select Additional domain controller
for an existing domain, and then click Next.
HEre is the problem On the Network Credentials page, I enter the
administrator username and password and type in the type new DC name and then
click Next.
It is here where my credentials fail and I can't continue.
I'm sure this is a PBSK (problem between the keybaord and the seat) issue.
Can ayone get me pointed in the right directuion????
