I have 3 WSUS servers a master and two replica's. All are identical HP ProLiant DL320 G5 hardware (2 x 80Gb SCSI HDD mirrored, Intel Xeon 2Ghz & 2Gb RAM) Software and configuration are the same (Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP2.
The masters WSUS folder has swollen to over 50Gb whilst the replica's WSUS folder is at 30Gb. All servers report that they are up to date with all patches, packs, etc sychronised successfully.
My question is why is the master WSUS folder so much larger than the others and is there a way to reclaim this space?
I have run the server cleanup tool on all WSUS servers.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
