Exchange error regarding external mail delivery rifat <rifat.3h2jjc[ at ]DoNotSpam.com> 10/10/2008 1:33:26 PM I had set up New Ms Excahnge 2003 server setup. I had done every setting and i am able to send and recieve internal mail. now also I am recieving mail from external mail id's like yahoo, gmail, hotmail or other my problem in this is that i am not able to send mail to external mail id means yahoo, gmail, hotmail....... and so on error report is below plz help me so that i can get rid from this problem. RE: Exchange error regarding external mail delivery oz.ozugurlu 10/13/2008 8:45:27 PM It sounds like you do not have MX record for your SMTP domain, or the IP address you are using don’t have any published MX and A record on the public DNS servers. Most cases when you claim to be an SMTP domain and sent mail out, the mail server your mail server is talking too, will see the IP address of your mail server and it will go back to internet public servers and ask for verification if you would think so your mail server will have troubles if the IP address its using won’t have any MX record and A record matching to it Basically, mail servers out there do not know who you are and cannot verify it as well.
