Dear all,
our problem is that certain MX/DNS resolutions are not working properly for external users trying to send us email.
For example, mail users at yahoo.com are getting rejected when trying to send an email to us at "123[ at ]example.com". This mail is rejected as the user "123[ at ]WWW.example.com" as not a valid email address. It appears that YAHOO is resolving our CNAME and although people are trying to send to [ at ]example.com it is being re- solved to [ at ]WWW.example.com which our mail server rejects.
Amazingly mails for example from hotmail.com, gmail.com or mail.com are working!
Would be great to find here a solution and/or an expla- nation for this situation.
THX, Rainer

Hi there, where is the dns hosted for your domain? By yourselves or by a 3rd party? Whoerver is responsible for the dns needs to check the mx records for the domain. James. -- James Yeomans, BSc, MCSE Ask me directly at: http://www.justaskjames.co.uk

It appears you have a wild card entry under the zone to point ALL queries to www.example.com.
However this is an educated guess since I can't confirm or verify it because you did not post your domain name for us to better assist you.
