WSUS 3.0 SP1 : Pb synchronization with MS server at installation a.andrieux[ at ]sidiac.com 11/14/2008 11:06:24 AM Hello, I have a problem with the installation of WSUS 3.0 SP1. Today I have a SBS 2003 server where is installed WSUS 2.0. Because many reasons (disk full,...) I decided not to use this WSUS 2.0 and so to install WSUS 3.0 SP1 on a new server. There is only WSUS 3.0 SP1 and an A-V (WFBS of TrendMicro, client and server) on this server. All is running OK until I asked for defining the proxy parameters and trying to synchronize with the MS server. I did the following things : - Desactivate the A-V / firewall on the server (TrendMicro) - I have no problem to go to the Microsoft Update site - I verified the proxy parameters (server name = 10.0.0.24, port = 80, user ...). I alerady use these parameters with no problem in IE or other software (like WFBS in the same server). The proxy is an Arkoon. - I uninstall WSUS and reinstall - I added to trusted sites in IE the list given by MS - search in Internet : nothing for this subject exactly - when I watch the arkoon log I see nothing (good or bad) like the request of WSUS don't reach the Arkoon (proxy). This error is a pretty straightforward situation. But I verified the parameters and there is no error, I am sure. I dont' understand but since today the problem is not the same. I changed nothing (except restart the DC for another reason this week) and now when I try to synchronize it's beginng the the percentage remains at 0 (even after 1 hour). I have no traffic on my proxy (an arkoon). Is there a possibility that there is a contradiction between the parameters of the proxy on WSUS and other paramaters (defined by proxycfg.exe). I read something about this.
