Recovering DNS Root Hints Reza 12/20/2008 1:44:01 PM Hi all; I have a problem regarding to root hints in my DNS infrastructure. I have a single domain with a single domain controller in my lab. I deleted all the root hints entries in the Root Hints tab manually to simulate the following KB: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;249868 Now, I went through the solution from the above KB to return the root hints back, but without success. Go to the Root Hints tab, click the Copy from server button, enter the IP of a DNS server supporting the Root you are going to use i.e., ICANN, which would be 198.41.0.4 for A.ROOT-SERVERS.net -- Best regards, Kevin D.
