Cannot stop BEEP in W2008 ThomasAJ 12/28/2008 2:24:01 AM I cannot find a way to stop windows beeping whenever a message is displayed. This is particularly annoying for Terminal Services users. I found http://blogs.msdn.com/mcsnoiwb/archive/2008/08/27/disable-beeping-sound-in-vista-xp-2003-2000.aspx which explains various methods including: net stop beep sc config beep start= disabled. But when I run "sc config beep start= disabled" I get a message that Service Controller is not installed. I cannot find it as a Role or Feature. -- Regards Tom
