Hi there, am i right in thinking that all of your clients have ptr records in the reverse look up zone? PTR records are the only ones that should be in the reverse lookup zone. If some clients are not registering A records in the forward lookup zone, then you need to check the dhcp server settings to see if its set to dynamically update addresses that it assigns. Also nt4 and earlier clients will not register their own records dhcp must be configured to update them. For dhcp to update dns the dhcp client service must be running on the dhcp server. -- James Yeomans, BSc, MCSE
