Hi,
Saw that my WSUS MMC couldn't connect to one of the downstream WSUS servers running on Windows 2003 SP2. Checking out the server showed me that the Update Services service had stopped as had the Internal DB service. I was able to start the Update Services service but not the DB service.
I was going to remove WSUS and saw that WSUS wasn't in Add/Remove but I was able to remove the DB from Add/Remove and then I started to mess around with registry settings. I am now unable to remove WSUS3 or reinstall WSUS3. I even followed a few steps which said you could reinstall WSUS2 which I did after remming the Update Services registry entry and then upgrade to WSUS3. Once WSUS2 was installed I was still unable to upgrade with the WSUS3SP1 software.
I have tried changing the wYukonInstalled from 1 to 0. And rerunning the installer says I can choose to remove DB, Logs or updates but no matter what I choose the process just fails. I have also tried the MS Add/Remove cleaner.
Anyone know any special tricks I can try to get this software installed again?
Thanks
