XP64 and SP2 "Squeezy" <dave[ at ]mazurka.freeserve.co.uk> 6/19/2007 9:51:32 PM I have XP64 bit and applied SP2 - no problems until I try to run the "Help and Support" - I get an error saying the service is not running. I have tried many suggestions from the web including re installing the help system, but to no avail - the "Help and Support" service does not appear when I run "services.msc". There's a KB for SBS out there on it. The basic problem is that the service needs to be reinstalled. There's a KB: 937231, but the basic steps to fix it are: 1. Open a command prompt. 2. Navigate to %windir%\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries 3. Run “start /w helpsvc /svchost netsvcs /regserver /install” 4. Once this command completes the Help and Support service should now appear in services.msc 5.
