Hi!
I have :
ASUS P5N32 Sli Deluxe motherboard running BIOS 0405 4 GIG of memory Nvidia 7900 GTX
I install Vista 64-bits Ultimate and everything is slowwwwwwww, very slowwwwwwwwwwww. It takes 10 seconds just to display the Control Panel window. So, Vista 64-bits is not workable at all.
In the BIOS, I change "Memory Map Feature" from "Disabled" to "Enabled". Now, Vista 64-bits is very very fast and even faster than Vista 32-bits. And, it takes 0.1 second to display the Control Panel window.
WOW!
Everything works well : softwares and hardwares.
Only Windows Live OneCare antivirus does not run because it does not support 64-bits. So, I switched to AVG from Grisoft.
Bonne journée!

Jane: His date shows fine in the Web interface NG, which is the one I use. His first post was June, 10th. The second one on June, 11th. Does Australia use a different calendar? :-))))) Carlos

I must be going mad ;)
Seriously, when he made the first post in this thread, it was in the future...ie it was showing a date/time in advance of my local time. His post is stamped 1.09PM, when the actual time here was AM. Weird.

Hi sibrecat!
Here it is :
1. select "Advanced" menu 2. select "Chipset" 3. set "Memory remap feature" to "Enabled"
It is section 4.4.5 in page 4-30 of user guide. Check the user guide here : http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5N32-SLI_Deluxe/e2384_p5n32-sli_dlx.pdf
Le 64-bit est très rapide!

I had exactly this problem on an Intel DP965LT motherboard with the latest bios installed. The Vista 64-bit install ran like a dog. It took 3 hours to complete and after that, Vista was so slow that it was unuseable. There is no setting in the intel bios to enable/disable any memory map feature.
My solution was to go back to an earlier bios version. ie MQ96510J.86A.1669.EB
With the 1669 bios everything runs as it should.
Now if intel would only admit there is a bios issue or I'll be stuck on this early version forever.
