Reboots as soon as I click user
Trcey 7/10/2007 2:32:04 PM
Recently my computer started rebooting everytime I click on the username to
take me into windows. If I start in safe mode with networking I can get into
administrator. I tried running the updates and it errors out. I don't know
what else to try.

What operating system do you have on your computer?

Do you have your installation cd or dvd?

If it's XP Pro or Home (32-bit) then you're in the wrong
forum. This forum is for 64-bit Windows.

If you had the appropriate cd for your edition and the
correct Product Key, you could do a "Repair Install" which
will usually fix most problems.

Otherwise you need to go to the regular Windows XP forums,
the ones that don't have "64bit" in their listing.

If it's not XP 64, you're in the wrong newsgroup. Try asking your
question in:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
