How could I do?? (updates)
"Corsair" <corsair63[ at ]gmail.com> 6/17/2007 9:53:03 AM
good day to you all,

as you should know there is one program (windows updates downloader), that
you could download the updates for OS, Office, etc. but if you have seen in
the web page:

http://wud.jcarle.com/

the update for windows XP x64 is dated from August 2006, a lot of fixes
missing and in the middle one SP2, so, a lot of then that are in the list,
now they're included in SP2, that is my question:

I'm trying to update myself the list, so, where can I find the updates of
windows XP x64 up to date included in SP2 and which not?? is there any list
or anything or another program which do that in case of a crash and not to
download it again.

Cheers / Corsair

Corsair:
Or you might also go here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?DisplayLang=en&nr=20&freetext=x64&sortCriteria=date
and download your updates once, keep them in a safe place, and reuse them
from your HD or CD-ROM without the need of being on line in case of a fresh
install.
Is this what you were looking for?

Thanks Carlos,

more or less, supouse that you make a distribution with your OS (wxp x64)
and you want to include all the updates up to the date, included the SP2,
and of course youy have a lot of then downloaded, but some of the are
superseded by the sp2 and it could be some error when you make the CD.

if you have seen the web address that I sent in the first message, the
updates are only up to August 2006, and there is a lot of then new and other
superseded by the SP2, what I want to make is a update of the file for x64,
that could download all the updated updates, with the basis of the sp2.

I've found some information in:
http://test.catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/search.aspx?q=windows+xp+x64

and going one by one, you can see which one is in force and which one is
superseded, I think I have a lot of job to do to update the list file for xp
for the "windows updates downloader"

when I said that is for the crash of the OS, and on that way to have a
bootable CD to install the OS done with nLite, and on that way include
everything up to the last time you build the CD.
