Turning internet service off and on via software "Cooter" <cooter[ at ]yahoo.com> 6/3/2007 3:01:47 PM Is there a way of turning internet service off and on via software? I am on cable and using a LinkSys wired router. Even though I am using a firewall, I'd like to be able to remove the internet connection when the computer is unused for long periods.Yes, I know I can remove the plug, but I'm looking for a software solution. Right click the shortcut and select Disable. To Eneble again just right click the shortcut and select enable.
