Video file extension Dan Drewry <dan[ at ]drewry.com> 6/13/2007 6:02:28 PM I downloaded a video from YouTube and was told it should have the .flv extension. When I click on it, Windows (XP) says it can't open it. It supposedly should be played with FlashPlayer, which I downloaded but now can't find. Could it be that Windows says it can't open it because it knows it needs FlashPlayer and it can't find it either?

Windows says it can't open it because it does not known what program to associate files with a .flv extention. You say you downloaded but can't find FlashPlayer. Well, you need to find it so you can install it.
