J2SE Runtime Environment
"William B. Lurie" <billurie[ at ]nospam.net> 6/11/2007 3:16:40 PM
My new computer came in October 2006 with J2SE Runtime
Environment 5.0 (whatever that is) and I see in my list
of Add/Remove Programs that I have about 6 Updates
ending with Update 11 .... a total of close to
1 GB of software that I'm carrying. My question is,
have those updates been installed, and if not, should
I install them, and if so.....how?
Search shows that I have 'Update 5.msi' at several places.

Thanks, "O"......went there and it told me that 6.1 is
the latest, and that I have 6.1 already!!!! I'll try
deleting some of the older updates using Add/Remove
but I wonder why 6.1 doesn't show in my list.....

Late report, OAO: Deleted all of the Version 5 updates,
and, incidentally, found Version 6.1 in the list....
so all is well, and thank you.

Java gets updated often , So you can visit that site to get the latest , At
the moment 6.1 is the latest :)

And if you install the Java with its defaults, it auto checks for updates,
unless you disabled this in msconfig or similar
