need copying help pls jm fay 7/9/2007 2:58:05 PM We are unable to copy from word to a cd/ r in our d drive. Keep getting errors whihc state ntoify adminstrator or make sure disc isnt copy protected. We are using new discs but unable to copy and we have to so we can take it elsewhere to print. That won't work (AFAIK) unless the CD (and this will only work for a CDRW) is formatted for packet writing. You need to save the document to your HDD and then use whatever burning application you use to burn the file to the CD.

Common programs include InCD from Ahead (Nero) Drag to Disc from Roxio and DLA from Sonic. These programs run when the computer starts and can format a CD-R/W so that it behaves like a giant floppy. Most packet writing software requires that you use CD-R/W and not CD-R discs.
