I posted this the other day but I can't find it now on the forum When we click on the Netscape Icon to go to the set-up screen to click on our names to get on the internet....the set-up screen is automatically by-passed and it starts a connection immediately. I don't know where to go to change this. We need the set-up screen to come up in case of changes needed in the future.
Thanks!!!

Have you tried 'Help' in Netscape? This is a forum for an operating system, Windows XP. It is not the best place to find Netscape information (especially since Netscape has such a small sector of the Windows broswer universe. Try 'Netscape Communities'.

As Phil mentions, you'd have better luck in a Netscape forum.
However, some general thoughts: In most of the software that I've used that had disappearing setup screens, changing the settings is a matter of finding the info in the program's configuration. Usually, you will find something in a program's menus (look for menus named similar to Options, Settings or Preferences) where you can change the initial setup info to something else.
Note that this is only "some" software, not all. But perhaps you could check out the menus and the program's help files until you can find a netscape forum. -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows Shell/User

'Netscape Communities' is a forum for Netscape users; not that I know anything about Netscape, but I have more or less learned how to ask questions, and I got that information on the first page of the Netscape website B^)
I think many non-technical users of computers have no idea how MANY millions of possible details, questions, and solutions exist, and therefore expect most any user with technical know-how will be famliar with the particular problem, question, or solution. Mostly what an expert computer user knows is WHERE TO LOOK FOR THE ANSWER! In my opinion the number of possible questions is some higher power function of the number of lines of code B^)

Agreed! Questions from beginners can be extra difficult. They are not fully attuned to technical terminology. Mind-reading and prodding for details is steady fare for those that attempt to answer their questions.
Checking help files and finding communities for the software involved, seems logical to us but to a beginner, everything on their computer is "Windows" until they learn more. :-) -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows Shell/User
