Changing Drive Letters in Win XP SP2 Michael Schiff 6/24/2007 1:03:01 PM I want to change some of my hardware drive letters. for example e: to H:, etc.. I know there is a way to do this. Just don't know how. Thanks in advance

Right click on any drive you want to change and select Change Drive Letter and Paths.

Other drives / partitions you can change to any unused letter. If you wish to change to a letter already in use you need to change that drive / partition first to make that letter available. Take care how you change letters which affect drive paths for a lot of files e.g. if you use links in spreadsheets and also default paths. -- Hope this helps. No need to worry about the C drive, you can't change it if it is the boot drive.
