Uninstall programs not removed from Add/Remove programs
"Joseph Childs" <jchilds1[ at ]nycap.rr.com> 6/20/2007 11:18:56 PM
I have Windows XP on my computer. Recently, I removed several programs by
using the Add/Remove programs feature in control Panel. They were all
removed sucessfully. Shortly after I had to restore my computer to an
earlier date. when I did, I found that the previously removed programs were
not on the computer, but they were still listed in the Add/remove programs
area. When I tried to remove them from the list by doing an uninstall, a
message would generally appear stating that process could not proceed
because the install.log file could not be opened. How do I remove these
programs that are no longer on my computer from the Add/Remove program list?
