I've seen quite a few of these recently from you.

Please consider discontinuing this practice. It doesn't deter the
spammers, obviously, and it does clutter up the newsgroup for
readers.

Actually, I greatly appreciate Malke's spam notice. Often, I have limited
time to spend on the newsgroups and when she or someone else replies with
the word 'spam' in the subject, I can just delete the messages when the
headers come down and I don't have to waste my time with the messages.

Hi Stan

It is not done to deter the spammers it is done for as so people do not open them up for wasting their time or to even get on the spammers list and continue to get more spam that is most likely going to sent to their email address. Some will also contain on occasion some sort of Malware. I also warn people in other newsgroups the same. This practice is very helpful and is warranted.

You miss the point. 'Malke' provides a real service by taking her time to
check the contents and included URLs in spam post. Labeling the posts as
spam is only a problem if you wish to open and read SPAM posts. Most people
don't.

Agreed. If I drop it down and see the spam note, I move on and never bother
to open it.

If you want to read lots of spam try another newsgroup. I can recommend
several if that's what you want. Personally I'd like to neuter every one of
the bass turds.

Do not speak for the masses. You have no such authority and no way to know
what you say is true. Your opinions are just that and no more; opinions.
If you don't like it, don't read his posts.

Also learn netiquette and stop posting in HTML; it's supposed to be in Plain

suggest you read the ms news group rules.
states plainly HTML has always been welcome in ms news groups.
if you do not like it then do not use ms news groups.

I can speak for as many people as I chose to just as others can.
