PC Not going to Sleep/Standby "CoastMtns" <bobandshauna[ at ]shaw.ca> 7/4/2007 1:08:44 AM I previously posted this in a Logitech foroum but hav eyet to obtain a solution. Here is my issue: I just began using my MX Revolution mouse and have noticed my PC will not fully go to Standby/Sleep. It does go to another state in that the monitor goes to standby. When I tap the keyboard to bring the monitor back I do get my password screen as I usually do when I come out of standby, but it is obvious the pc is not going to the standby state. With my old Microsoft mouse that was corded, sleep meant a PC that was if it was off, no fans now whirling noises, all was stopped. When I disconnect the MX Revolution micro receiver from the USB port and connect my old Microsoft corded mouse there is no problem having the PC go to Standby/Sleep. I am guessing there may be an easy solution to this problem. Any suggestions? thanks, Bob

Then right click to access its properties. On the power management tab, you can elect to allow/disallow sleep to the mouse. Also whether or not the mouse can be used to resume the PC from sleep. If the mouse is allowed to wake the computer (default setting), the wireless technology for the mouse keeps the system awake. I went to the "Power Management" tab and noted the "Allow this device to bring the computer out of stanby" box was checked. I unchecked the box and now the PC goes to sleep properly.
