resolution problem
Sam 6/28/2007 3:10:01 AM
I just got a computer from a friend. After installing games for my daughters
the resolution changed so I tried to change it back to smaller. The problem
is that I can't see anything on the screen anymore, it's scrambled (kind of)
I can't get it back to the regular way. And the screen goes black and the
button blink. Does anyone know how to fix this problem??? I've tried to
restart the computer in safe mode by clicking F8 but it didn't work. I would
appreciate any help. Thanks.

1. Restart your PC. Press F8 rapidly after the 1 sec. to bring up the Startup
menu.
2. Press Enter on VGA Mode.
3. After Windows boot up try setting an accurate resolution and restart your
PC normally.

or if that doesn't help then follow the above 2 steps and then

3. Open Device Manager (Window Key+Pause Break) click Hardware tab then
Device Manager.
4. Expand Display Adapter - right-click on you card name and click Uninstall.
5. Restart your PC normally and window will try to install the drivers
automatically. Otherwise you will be asked to insert your Motherboard or
VGA/AGP Card CD. Make sure you have it before uninstalling the drivers.

Hope this help, let us know!
