Format Conversion Navin Kaushik 6/12/2007 7:31:02 AM Hi, I am beginner to WMP. I need to write a plug-in which will convert to ..wma format which WMP undertands. In other words let's say my song extension is .xyz which WMP does not understands, now I need to write a plug-in which will decrypt/decode .xyz and encrypt/encode to .wma format so that WMP can playback. Now question is , in which function/event should I work ? Any link to sample...will be great. thanks, Navin

You do not need to perform any conversion to WMA and you do not need to write a plugin. Also I went through the documentation of WMP SDK 11, I found IWMPConvert interface, which sounds good to me. In summary, will IWMPConvert will work in case of WMP SDK 11 ? will filter work in case of WMP SDK 10 even though if I convert .xyz protected file to protected .wma file ?
