Hi.
I found this article when searching for some other question. Basically, it says that if the Encoder 9 installed after 2003 SP1/2, some of the newer features of WMS are not visible in the control panel.
http://www.kbalertz.com/896114/Windows.Media.Services.Series.features.available.after.install.Windows.Media.Encoder.Series.aspx
I also have encoder installed on the same machine as the 2003 server, but don't remember if I installed it before the service pack 2 or after. Therefore, I'd be thankful if someone who doesn't has encoder but has sp2 installed, could check their WMS and wmsservertypelib.dll file versions.
The WMS version can be checked in WMS control applet, Server Properties -> General.
The "wmsservertypelib.dll" is located in "%windir%\system32\windows media\server", just right click it and select the "version" tab.
Mine version of both the WMS and the "wmsservertypelib.dll" file is: 9.1.1.3841
Thanks in advance, Stas.
