Getting error 0x80070057 on IWMReader in WMVCopy sample "me"<dl0haus[ at ]yahoo.com> 6/7/2007 12:57:41 AM I'm new to WMFSDK programming and have been going through the samples. It seems that one sample, WMVCopy, does almost exactly what I need in an application. The problem comes after I compile it and attempt to run it against a URL. I get 0x80070057 which after I looked seems to be "invalid parameter". The command looks like: wmvcopy -i mms://192.168.0.1/port1 -o myfile.wmv I get: Creating the Reader... Reader Callback: File is opened. Could not create the Reader (hr=0x80070057). I can open the URL through IE no problems and get the stream when it opens MP. I know this isn't a network issue which makes some sense since it never seems to get to that point. I have tried it with two local WMV files and it works fine. I was under the impression that IWMReader can read network streams. The only thing that's "different" here is the stream isn't a file on the server, its a live stream from an encoder. I also tried an http:// variant of the same thing; same problem. Thanks ahead of time for any help! What's going on here? I was hoping IWMReader can read live streams since I'm trying to implement a stream downloader for my company's video archival needs.
