IWMReader doesn't like URL for input?
dl0haus 6/6/2007 9:09:00 PM
I'm working with WMVCopy in the samples directory. It compiles and runs
fine, the problem is when I give it an input of a URL that I know is running
on a Live stream, it fails. It gives me the "bad parameter" error message.

I can run this program fine with a local .wmv file and the copy works. It
appears to not like a URL like mms://blah.blah.blah.blah/pub, the blah's
obviously being valid octets in our network. I tried http as well. I can
run IE and pull up the stream using this URL just fine.

I guess what I'm arriving at logically is the URL has to point to a valid
file that already exists? That WMReader can't do Live streams? This would
be most disconcerting. Are there parameters for live streams that I need to
set first?

Don't repost the same question in another thread. Reply on
the previous thread and answer what I asked to try to figure
out your problem.
