I have never been able to get that to work, plugins just dont seem to be enabled when using the ActiveX version of WMP. Sorry I dont have an answer for you, but I am seeking an answer for years to this same question. Not only on web pages, but if you use the ActiveX control in a windows application, the plugins still dont work. The object interface for the ActiveX WMP also does not seem to provide any interface to at least being able to turn on/off the desired plugins. Maybe a Microsoft MVP will read this post and have an answer.
