Nero and windows action cliff 4/22/2007 10:08:02 PM Nero nearly crashed my system after update by windows. Message stated that all plug-ins were deactivated in media player as a result. Unfortunately, my music programs, Finale and Sibelius now no longer use the soulndblaster 9000 sounds. I have Nero 5.0 and Windows media 11 and XP pro. Tried a restove -- it restored Microsot GS Wavetable SW Synth (which was deactivated also) but not SB Live 9000 Synths. What next?

Update: Used Media Player 11 this morning, then went into music programs and now the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth is inoperative! What is happening? Should I (or can I) delete Media player? Nero? Do another restore? Will this solve the problem?

FYI -- Solved problem by re-installing Soundblaster drivers, deleting Nero and Windows Media 11. Now everything works as it should! My advice -- don't install Media Player 11 when using Nero. >
