WM Player won't play because it says I need security upgrade and I WickedWit 6/4/2007 1:37:00 AM Hello, I am trying to play media(which I have paid for) and I get this message when I try to play it(I have already downloaded the latest version 11 WMP for XP(service pack 2)). Windows Media Player cannot play the protected file because a security upgrade is required. Do you want to download the security upgrade? I click yes....and nothing happens. I have rebooted several times....clicked yes several times.....and nothing helps. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do.

Re: WM Player won't play because it says I need security upgrade a jutras.marc[ at ]gmail.com 7/6/2007 11:41:38 PM I searched for a while and found a possible solution I found a site that tells you how to downgrade from WMP 11 to 10 The first time after I downgraded, "watch now" in Netflix worked After that though it began to complain about me running out of "watch now" time Part of the problem was that I left it downloading the movie with WMP 11 the whole night and that counted for a couple hours of watching time It still says I have 12 hours left so it should work Im not sure if this is a WMP 10 compatibility problem or if it is Netflix messing up Here is the downgrade website http://thesource.ofallevil.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/readme.aspx#AddingorremovingthePlayer
