Resizing pictures
Gary in Bishop 4/25/2007 10:16:02 PM
Since I see "PowerToys resizer" is not compatible with Vista I'm at a loss
how to resize pics to mail. I see the usual right click on the pic, send to,
and then resize but what if you wanted to do a few and you already had an
e-mail open? The option has to be here but I can't find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gary,

One way to work around this problem if you decide to resize a photo after
you've already started creating an e-mail message is to resize the photos in
the usual way, and let it attach them to an e-mail message. Then just drag
the attached photo files out of the new e-mail message into the existing
e-mail message you already started. Then discard the e-mail message you
don't need. (Alternately, you could copy the text you've written from the
old message to the new message.)

Dave, when will Microsoft support the masses and just release a PowerToy or
Extra to provide this functionality. It's dumb that the functionality is
there but you have to "send" and email to use it.

As you can guess, Tom, we are not allowed to comment on any products that
might be in development--so there's no point in even asking, I'm afraid. :-)

I use (did) resizing a lot, for goodness sake what's up with Microsoft. Also
scanning photos has become a total hastle. Be afraid. We (I am) are MAD
