I'm having the same problem with movies from ABC, NBC, CBS and Netflix. It
just sits there and doesn't do anything. These same sites worked well under
Windows XP
Is there some setting I haven't done. I'm a real novice.

What happens when you attempt this?

Is the player otherwise functioning correctly?

I have the same problem, when I click on a link in a web page all I get is a
blank screen WMP is set as my default, but will not open, Media Player works
fine for all other things just not for streaming video, previously was
working perfectly.

I thought of reinstalling WMP 11 but I cannot find it anywhere on MS sites
(11.0.6000.6324), I am unable to use system restore as a IT person deleted
the restore points recently. Have also checked the settings and all seems to
be as it should be, I even compared the settings to my other computer which
runs XP and they are identical.

Have searched for fixes but can't seem to find any.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

That historically has meant that a third party has broken the association.
This would not be fixed by a reinstall.

If you go to the system's Default Programs tools and use those to
reassociate to Windows Media Player (Set Program Access and Defaults should
work fine for this task), does that fix you up?

What other players are on the system?
