Kodak Easy Share
Florence 6/19/2007 7:26:03 PM
Hi, I installed the Kodak Easy Share program on my Windows Vista Basic.
Could not get it to work right, couldn't bring any of my pictures up from the
CD. So I tried to uninstall the program however program qttask.exe,
publisher Apple Computer, PID 3384didn't uninstall. Because of this it keeps
changing my color scheme. Windows says that this program performed an action
that requires windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows Vista
Basic, instead of using the Vista Aero. This kodak Easy Share was installed
from a CD which has my pictures on it.
My question is how do I get rid of the qttask.exe program??
Also do I have to have the Easy Share program to see the pictures on my
Kodak CD's? If I do what is the best way to install program and not have it
start up when the computer comes on?
I know very little about computers so please put information in to a
version someone w/little to no knowledge can understand.

You can uninstall Quicktime if you do not wish to view MOV files. You can
access your photos directly through Windows Explorer.

If you have a Kodak digital camera, QuickTime is necessary to view videos shot
with the camera.

It sounds like you have older incompatible versions of both Easy Share and
QuickTime installed. The newest versions are Vista compatible and do not change
the Aero interface. You can download the latest version of QuickTime from
apple.com. You can get the Vista version of Easy Share here (Note: Do not
install the version of QuickTime that the Easy Share software offers, get the
latest version from Apple.)
