Sigmatel which does not work so am using generic High Def Audio from Windows
Vista download. Tried using Creative Labs sound card same problem. It looks
like a Vista driver problem

If you have a Sigma Tel audio adapter, you should ONLY use Sigma Tel drivers.
Does your computer or motherboard manufacturer have Vista drivers? What
Creative card?

Have you right clicked on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the
Taskbar, selected Recording Devices, right clacked in the window and selected
both Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices and if your Line In and
Microphone appear, select one as Default and using the Properties button to set
it up and test it?

The Sigma Tel Audio driver for Vista doesn't work. The computer does not
recognize the sound card. The only way so far to get speakers to work is to
use windows driver. Other people with this sound card have had the same
problem but they found an updated driver somewhere. Sigma Tel has been sold
to IDT and they don't have any drivers to download. Bottom line is i need a
new driver for this sound card and can' find one that works.
