Media Player 11 Issues
Wes 6/22/2007 1:05:00 AM
Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.
I'm having serious issues the last 2 weeks with mp11.
First, mp11 won't add new content. I can't rip a new cd into media player
or add any new videos. The program will not search folders for new content
either, it simply doesn't open when I manually search for new content.
MP11 had also stopped sharing with my 360. The sharing probelm actually
gives me an error and re-directs me to a web site but listed fixes did not
help. The message I get is Media sharing has been turned off because a
required Windows setting or component has changed. For additional assistance,
click Web Help. Web page says error code is C00D0FF4. Also mp11 doesn't
always close properly when shut down and I have to open task manager and stop
processes for mp11 to get it to open again. I have tried a system restore and
that has not helped.
I would uninstall but that has been covered in these forums.

These should all be related- reset the library--
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary
and you should be fixed up. =)

I really appreciate your response. Thank You for the web page you have created.
I have one last question. When you say rename the folder I simply rename
the folder to something like Media Player2 and then rebuild the media in the
player?

Did this last night and it worked! Thanks for the advice. I was ready to pull
my hair out. Everything works now like it did before.
I really do appreciate the time you have taken to create the WMP help page
and pointing me to the correct section. Thanks!
