DVI input failure
"richard" <shack69[ at ]hotpo.com> 5/2/2007 2:15:00 PM
I'm trying to import video from my JVC video camera using the DVi lead into
a firefire card (just like i did on XP), but vista tells me there is no
video detected. but it does allow me to control the camera eg fast forward ,
rewind , play etc. Any help

It appears that you do not have Vista drivers for your camera. Vista
graphics are different then XP graphics and Vista compatible drivers are
required. The fact that non video control functions work with the camera
does not imply that video functions will also work. I suggest that you
contact JVC support.

JW , this is purely for transfering the tape to the PC via firewire and the
only drivers I needed to have on XP were the firewire card drivers and not
any specific JVC ones. If i want to connect with USB I need JVC drivers.

Hi,

I am having the exact same issue with my JVC GR-D93U video camera. Under
XP, everything works great. So I know my video camera, cable, etc are
working fine. Did you ever find a solution to this issue? If so, please
reply via email to rpratali[ at ]insight.rr.com.
