After downloading and watching movies, the player suddenly won't play movies.
error that comes up when I try to view a new download or an old download is
this: "The file you are trying to use requires a software component on your
computer to be upgraded. " When I go to the webpage to upgrade it, I get an
another error message and it won't upgrade. Since I am not told what the
"component" is, I can't check it out.
The first web page gives me this: "You may be redirected to a Web page when
you try to play Windows Media DRM protected content after you upgrade to
Windows Media Player 11 or to Windows Vista" I have not upgraded to anything.
I already have version 11 and am running Vista. I have searched the ms site
and so far have no answers.
