Installation stops Devin 6/17/2007 2:31:00 AM I just recieved my Vista Express upgrade and i followed all instructions but when while its installing it stops at 20% when its gathering files...please help

The more programs that you have installed, the longer the 'gather' stage will take. Did you run the Upgrade Advisor on your computer before attempting the upgrade? http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradeadvisor.mspx Did you uninstall any antivirus/anti-spyware utilities, and any other software/utilities that were flagged as incompatible by the Upgrade Advisor? Any burning software should also be uninstalled before upgrade. Re: Installation stops Devin 6/17/2007 3:35:01 AM Ive left it at that stage for 5 hours and i dont have that many programs installed. I have also ran the Upgrade Advisor and it says that it is good to upgrade. I also removie all antivirus/anti-spyware utilities, and other software and utilities.
