Thats because you most likely voided your warranty when you formatted Vista off the system. Every Computer that has an OS preinstalled comes with some form of recovery....wether it be a hidden recovery partition that is accesible only when you push a seqeunce of keys when booting or a seperate recovery CD.All new systems also come with a manual which more often then not is on the HD...which you formatted....This manual tells you how to access this "recovery" partition or CD. The website of the Manufacturer usually has a copy of this manual on their website....a search should turn it up.You will need the specific model number of your system to do this. New systems also usually have a warning when 1st booted that tells you to back up your system in case you do something foolish...like losing your temper at an inanimate object which only responds to your input........... peter "bigger brother" <bigger brother[ at ]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6935E267-3796-4670-BC24-0A3EDADFCC7D[ at ]microsoft.com...
