Winload is part of the boot loader. If it is corrupt then you would need to do a startup repair using your Vista DVD. If the Vista DVD is crashing there may be a problem with the DVD itself. Have you tried the DVD in another PC to see if it will run? If not I would try that so you can at least eliminate the Vista DVD as the source of the crash problem. If you have recently purchased the vista DVD take it back to the shop and ask them to check it.
