The 0x80072efd error is a "Cannot Connect" error, and it's what the client
agent records when it gets *NO* response from the target WSUS Server.

Next step would be to run the Client Diagnostic Tool available from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/7/6/976d1084-d2fd-45a1-8c27-a467c768d8ef/WSUS%20Client%20Diagnostic%20Tool.EXE
and post the output for analysis.

It appears that your client did not Self-Update to the latest version (.374)
The error 80072efd == ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT

Have you installed your server to the non-default port?
Can you place the following URL
(http://dorner-netsrv/selfupdate/wuident.cab) into an Browser and connect?
If not what error do you get?

No I have not installed the server to the non-default port. It is running on
port 80. Internet Explorer gives me a message that it cannot display the
page. I'm trying to access the address on a machine that is communicating
correctly with my WSUS server.

Then the next step is to find out why the WUA is logging the URL as
http://dorner-netsrv, which also probably explains the '2efd' errors since
it's trying to find a non-existent server, and likely getting a 'not found'
response from DNS.
