Cannot set deadlines when approving updates - selection is grayed
JoshGfromPortland 5/16/2007 5:46:01 PM
In WSUS 3 when I select "Approve" the only further choices I have available
or "Approved for Install" or "Not Approved." All the other options are grayed
out, including the option to set a deadline. Does this have something to do
with inheritance?

I'm using WSUS version 3.0.6000.374.

Thanks for any ideas or insight on this issue.

Looks like you have to approve them first before you can set a deadline.

You cannot set a deadline on an inherited approval. If you think about it it is
"inherited" and so are all its settings. Thus you need to created another
explicit install approval before you can set a deadline. Of course you could set
a deadline on the parent but I don't think that is what you require.
