New Windowsupdate.admx
Søren_Fisker 5/15/2007 7:23:36 AM
I tried copying the updated Windowsupdate.admx from my local
C:\Windows\Policydefinitions to our Group Policy Central Store.

If I try to view the settings of my WSUS Group Policies it now says:

The following errors were encountered:
Resource '$(string.TrustedPublisher_Title)' referenced in attribute
displayName could not be found. File \\[DNS-name of domain
controller]\SysVol\[DNS name of
domain]\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\WindowsUpdate.admx, line 395, column 247

Anyone else seen this?

Why would you have copied the file when all you had to do in import teh ADM
file into the GP?

Because that's the way the Group Policy Central Store works.
ADMX files are not imported to each GPO but rather shared between them.
But it seems there's an error in the Windowsupdate.admx that's installed
with WSUS 3.0 :(

Søren
