There is one other methodology that can be used if you need to do this on a group of systems.
By modifying the policy settings, and changing any of the key detection settings (e.g. Detection Frequency), you can trigger a detection event at the next policy refresh. With policy refresh set at the default 90 mins +/- 30 mins, this would effectively trigger a detection at every affected system within 2 hours of posting the policy change.
